The Role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design, layout, and testing of printed circuit boards for advanced spacecraft electronics.

Operating within a highly collaborative startup environment, you will own designs from initial concept through production, working closely with electrical, mechanical, and embedded software engineers to develop robust, flight-ready hardware.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, problem solving, and taking ownership of products throughout the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Own PCB design from circuit design and schematic capture through PCB layout, bring-up, and validation testing

  • Conduct trade studies balancing electrical performance, signal integrity, thermal considerations, manufacturability, cost, and schedule

  • Collaborate with embedded software engineers during board bring-up, debugging, and hardware-software integration

  • Support board-level and system-level integration activities, including electronics assembly, rework, and testing

  • Plan, support, and analyse environmental qualification campaigns, including vibration, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and radiation testing

  • Contribute to design documentation, technical reviews, and test reporting

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in PCB design and layout using Altium Designer

  • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes, design for manufacturing (DFM), and electronics assembly techniques

  • Strong interest in hands-on hardware development

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative engineering environment

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The role:

You will support propulsion system analysis across liquid rocket engine and/or vehicle-level propulsion architecture, helping drive design decisions through modelling, simulation, trade studies, and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform propulsion system analysis for launch vehicle and rocket engine development
  • Build and maintain models for engine performance, fluid systems, thermodynamics, and vehicle-level propulsion behaviour
  • Support trade studies across engine cycle, propellant selection, feed systems, pressurisation, cooling, and performance margins
  • Analyse test data from component, subsystem, and integrated propulsion testing
