I’m currently supporting a rapidly growing aerospace company developing advanced communications and electronic systems for satellites, spacecraft, and airborne platforms.
They’re looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer II to play a key role in managing and improving supplier quality performance across a complex aerospace manufacturing environment.
This position will work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure supplier compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support the delivery of high-reliability hardware for space applications.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing supplier quality processes in alignment with AS9100 standards
• Supporting supplier qualification, audits, and performance reviews
• Driving root cause investigations and corrective actions for supplier issues
• Monitoring supplier KPIs including quality, delivery, and corrective action performance
• Supporting nonconformance disposition including rework, scrap, and RMAs
• Collaborating with engineering teams on manufacturability and supplier requirements
• Conducting supplier site audits and source inspections
• Building strategic supplier partnerships and driving continuous improvement initiatives
What they’re looking for:
• 3+ years of supplier quality experience within aerospace or defense
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems
• Experience supporting suppliers for machining, PCBs, PCBAs, assemblies, and test hardware
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel 20–40% for supplier audits and inspections
