Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Electrical Test Engineer to support the development, execution, and documentation of electrical product testing for advanced aerospace hardware.
Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll help validate electrical and electromechanical systems, develop test procedures, troubleshoot hardware, and ensure products meet performance and quality requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or engineer with up to two years of experience looking to build a career in aerospace testing and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to define electrical testing requirements.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve test plans and test procedures.
- Execute electrical and electromechanical tests in accordance with approved documentation.
- Analyze test data and prepare clear technical reports for engineering teams.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause investigations during testing.
- Assist in improving test efficiency, including opportunities for automation.
- Train and support technicians and engineers on test equipment and procedures when required.
- Ensure testing activities comply with internal quality standards and engineering best practices.
- Serve as a technical resource for laboratory equipment and testing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering with equivalent practical experience.
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in engineering, testing, laboratory, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
- Recent graduates with relevant internship, co-op, or university project experience are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an engineering or R&D laboratory.
- Exposure to automated testing or scripting.
- Familiarity with electronic laboratory equipment such as:
- Digital multimeters
- Power supplies
- Source meters
- Oscilloscopes (preferred)
- Experience testing complex electrical or electronic hardware.
- Knowledge of environmental, vibration, or reliability testing.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
