CFO

A deep-tech scale-up at the forefront of quantum computing. Having raised over $250M+ in venture and government funding, the company is now preparing to strategically pivot from being R&D-driven to commercialization and revenue generation.

The Role

We’re seeking a commercially-savvy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with the CEO and executive team in driving this transformation from research organization to revenue-generating technology leader. The successful candidate will:

• Define and execute the financial strategy that supports the company’s transition from R&D-focused to commercially scalable.
• Build robust financial systems, controls, and reporting suited for a scale-up preparing for significant growth and future capital markets engagement.
• Lead fundraising strategy, investor relations, and government funding management.
• Partner with CEO, CTO, and leadership team to align financial priorities with productization, manufacturing, and go-to-market goals.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in deep tech / semiconductors / HPC / AI / photonics or similarly complex industries
• Public company experience - In a Senior or C level position
• Proven track record of scaling a venture-backed, R&D-intensive company into commercial operations and revenue growth.
• Strong fundraising and investor relations background; ability to interface with top-tier VCs, strategic investors, and government stakeholders.
• Experience designing financial frameworks for product commercialization, licensing/IP monetization, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
