We are supporting a rapidly growing space scale-up that is redefining satellite innovation. Their cutting-edge satellite platforms are enabling commercial, governmental, and scientific missions across the globe.

This company’s mission is to make space universally accessible. They are building a high-performing team in the US and are now looking for a Business Development Manager to spearhead government sales efforts.

You will be responsible for driving new business opportunities with US government agencies and prime contractors, including DoD, NASA, and other federal institutions. This role will focus on building long-term partnerships, developing proposals, and securing major contracts that directly contribute to the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive US government strategy, particularly with Space Force and defense-related agencies
  • Build strong relationships with federal agencies, military branches, and government-affiliated institutions
  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through to long-term contracts
  • Secure high-value deals with an annual sales target of $10M+
  • Represent the business at government briefings, industry events, and policy discussions
  • Stay ahead of procurement trends, funding programs, and regulatory requirements

Key Requirements
  • BD and sales experience in the space sector
  • Proven track record of closing large-scale government contracts
  • Strong network across DoD, NASA, NOAA, and related agencies
  • Excellent understanding of US government procurement and compliance (ITAR, EAR)
  • Confident negotiator and communicator with senior government stakeholders
  • US citizenship required
