Technical Sales Engineer

I'm partnering with an innovative space software company that's looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to support its growing customer base across the aerospace and defence sectors. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective customers.
  • Deliver engaging software demonstrations and presentations.
  • Scope and support Proof of Concept engagements from planning through to execution.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams throughout the sales cycle.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to government agencies and prime contractors.
  • Support customer workshops, technical evaluations and solution design.
  • Travel to customer sites and industry events as required.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Experience within the space, satellite, aerospace or defence industry.
  • Strong understanding of software platforms and cloud-native technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience delivering software demonstrations and leading technical customer discussions.
  • Comfortable engaging with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting US Government, DoD or Prime Contractor customers.
  • Understanding of secure software deployments within defence environments.
  • Active or recent security clearance (TS/SCI) is advantageous.
