About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Signals Engineer to support the development of advanced RF signal processing and payload technologies for space-based sensing systems. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with engineering teams to analyze, validate, and enhance signal collection capabilities across a variety of mission applications.
You will provide technical insight, analysis, and engineering support to drive new capabilities from concept through operational deployment, directly contributing to mission success and next-generation system development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and optimize RF signal data collection while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project specifications
  • Drive engineering efforts related to electronic signals collection missions
  • Analyze RF data across a wide range of frequency bands, from VHF through Ka-band
  • Explore and implement advanced signal processing techniques, including TDOA/FDOA geolocation, modulation and pulse recognition, de-interleaving, direction finding/beamforming, and emitter fingerprinting
  • Work closely with SAR and payload engineering teams to test and validate data collection performance
  • Perform signal analysis using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
  • Generate documentation and effectively communicate technical information to audiences of varying technical backgrounds
  • Contribute technical content to RFIs, RFPs, and other business capture activities
  • Support general software engineering and data analysis projects as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar engineering or signals analysis role
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience using Python for signal processing and data analysis
  • Strong foundation in signal processing fundamentals and RF data analysis, including manipulation of complex-valued data
  • Experience working with large RF/IQ datasets, including data curation, labeling, and analysis
  • Familiarity with RF data formats such as SigMF, CRSD, or similar
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in RF signal analysis, including geolocation and signal characterization techniques
  • Experience with scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, or PyTorch
  • Familiarity with GPU acceleration (CUDA), vectorized computing, or FPGA-based processing concepts
  • Experience with compiled programming languages such as C, C++, or Go
  • Familiarity with SAR data collection and imaging modes
  • Experience with anechoic chamber testing and phased array antenna systems
