Mechanical Design Engineer – Contract
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Contract | Remote | 6–12 Months)
We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support advanced aerospace and propulsion programs on a remote contract basis, with 2 weeks per quarter travel required to onsite in Nevada.
You’ll lead complex mechanical design activities across high-performance systems, including CAD modelling, structural and thermal analysis, pressure vessels, actuators, hot gas systems, and advanced manufacturing methods.
What you’ll bring:

4+ years’ experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering

Strong 3D CAD, GD&T, and technical drawing expertise

Experience with structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis

Background in propulsion, rocket motor, or high-performance aerospace systems preferred
-
Ability to work across design, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams
