An innovative space technology company is seeking a Launch Site Director to lead operations across a high-cadence launch facility supporting multiple launch vehicle programs.

This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of launch infrastructure and operations, spanning vehicle integration, payload processing, ground systems readiness, and mission execution. You will play a critical role in enabling reliable, repeatable launch operations within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering and operations, driving mission success while scaling launch site capability and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on leader comfortable operating across technical, operational, and logistical domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering and technician teams across vehicle integration, testing, payload processing, and launch execution.
  • Deliver complex programs on schedule and within budget across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Manage contractors and suppliers supporting launch operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of launch infrastructure and workflows to enable high-frequency launches.
  • Oversee site operations including administration, security, supply chain, and logistics.
  • Ensure strong safety standards and regulatory compliance across all activities.

Required experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in launch operations, aerospace engineering, or operations leadership.
  • Proven experience delivering within fast-paced, high-pressure technical environments.

Desirable experience:

  • Advanced degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Direct experience with launch vehicle operations.
  • Background in payload integration, ground systems, or launch vehicle systems.
  • Experience with data acquisition or control systems.
  • Familiarity with complex IT systems supporting launch operations.
