Senior HR Consultant — 6 Month Contract

A US space propulsion company is hiring a Senior HR Consultant on a 6-month contract. They’ve recently become part of a larger space organization and are working through the integration, building the people processes they need now while migrating onto the parent group’s long-term HR platform. You’d own the delivery of that.

This isn’t a caretaker seat. The direction and the tooling are set. What’s missing is someone to build the execution plan and land it.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning the HR platform migration onto the parent group’s systems
  • Building out performance management — framework, rollout, in-flight goals and midyear cycle
  • Driving talent management continuity through the integration
  • Change management — bringing leaders and the wider business through real transition
  • Building and delivering the training and enablement behind it
  • Partnering directly with the exec team on leadership effectiveness

What you’ll need

  • Senior HR practitioner who has owned people initiatives end to end
  • Integration, transformation or change experience — ideally post-acquisition
  • Manufacturing environment background
  • Small-to-mid-size or startup-like companies, where you build the process rather than inherit it
  • Genuinely independent — you take the brief and drive it
  • Able to be on-site in Littleton five days a week
  • US citizen or green card holder (ITAR requirement)

Nice to have

  • Aerospace, space or defense experience
  • HRIS migration at scale — you’ve done a system move and know where it breaks
  • Prior contract or interim work — you land, orient and add value inside two weeks
