We’re working with an innovative space technology company looking for an early-career Mission Analyst / Orbital Dynamics Engineer to join a small, fast-moving engineering team supporting a lunar mission.
This is a hands-on role connecting mission and trajectory analysis directly to spacecraft design. You’ll work extensively with Ansys STK, trajectories and ?V data, translating mission analysis into requirements and CONOPS used by GNC, propulsion and spacecraft engineering teams.
What you'll be doing
- Build, run and independently validate Ansys STK scenarios
- Analyse trajectories, orbit propagation, access, lighting and eclipse conditions
- Develop ?V budgets, maneuver timelines and propulsion requirements
- Run orbital trade studies and sensitivity analyses
- Support GNC requirements, navigation, orbit determination and pointing profiles
- Develop mission CONOPS and maneuver sequences
- Automate analysis and STK workflows using Python or MATLAB
- Communicate mission analysis across multidisciplinary engineering teams
What we're looking for
- Hands-on Ansys STK experience is essential
- 0 to 3 years' experience in mission analysis, astrodynamics, GNC or related spacecraft engineering
- Relevant internships, research and student satellite projects considered
- Strong understanding of orbital mechanics and trajectory analysis
- Python and/or MATLAB experience
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Physics or a closely related field
