RF Signals Engineer

Are you passionate about RF signal processing, geolocation and solving complex technical problems?

We're working with an innovative space company that's expanding into next-generation RF signal collection capabilities, leveraging an existing satellite constellation to develop cutting-edge intelligence products.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of space, RF engineering, digital signal processing and software development, helping build entirely new capabilities that will support national security and mission-critical applications.

What You'll Do

  • Analyse and optimise RF signal data collected from satellite-based sensors.
  • Develop and implement advanced signal processing techniques using Python, MATLAB or similar tools.
  • Apply geolocation techniques including TDOA, FDOA, AOA, beamforming and emitter fingerprinting.
  • Analyse RF signals across multiple frequency bands from VHF through Ka-band.
  • Work closely with Payload, SAR and Software Engineering teams to develop new collection capabilities.
  • Validate RF signal collections and improve overall system performance.
  • Produce technical documentation and support customer proposals and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to software development projects supporting next-generation signal collection products.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in engineers with experience in one or more of the following:

  • RF Signal Processing
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
  • Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)
  • Electronic Warfare (EW)
  • RF Geolocation
  • RF/IQ Data Analysis
  • Emitter Identification & Characterisation
  • Direction Finding or Beamforming

You'll also ideally have:

  • Strong Python programming experience.
  • Experience analysing complex RF/IQ datasets.
  • Knowledge of TDOA, FDOA, AOA or similar geolocation techniques.
  • Experience with MATLAB, NumPy, SciPy or similar analysis tools.
  • C, C++ or Go experience is a bonus.
  • A background in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Why This Role?

This isn't a traditional RF hardware engineering position.

You'll be joining a team building a brand-new capability, using an existing space-based platform to develop advanced RF signal collection products. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical direction, solve challenging engineering problems and work alongside experts across RF, software, payloads and satellite systems.

If you're looking for a role where your expertise in RF signal processing, geolocation and software can directly shape the future of space-based sensing, we'd love to hear from you.
