About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an ambitious space launch company developing next-generation launch vehicle technology. Backed by significant funding and led by engineers from some of the world's most successful aerospace organisations, they are building critical flight systems from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to become the first Electrical Design Engineer within the business, taking ownership of flight-grade electronic hardware from initial concept through production while helping shape the future of the electrical engineering function.

If you're looking for a role where you'll have genuine ownership, influence technical direction, and see your hardware fly, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Design high-reliability electronic hardware for flight applications.

  • Own the complete PCB development lifecycle, including schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, bring-up, debugging and production support.

  • Develop electrical architectures for power distribution, sensor interfaces, actuator control and communication systems.

  • Perform hardware validation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Support environmental qualification including vibration, thermal and EMI/EMC testing.

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

  • Help establish engineering standards, processes and best practices as the team grows.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience designing electronic hardware and PCBs from concept through production.

  • Strong experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, hardware bring-up and validation.

  • Understanding of analog and digital electronics, power electronics and sensor interfaces.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production and hardware debugging.

  • Hands-on experience using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and other electronic test instrumentation.

Preferred Experience

  • Launch vehicle, spacecraft or satellite electronics.

  • High-reliability aerospace or defence electronics.

  • Altium Designer.

  • Environmental qualification including vibration, thermal, shock, TVAC or EMI/EMC testing.

  • Python or C/C++.

  • Experience defining electrical architectures and system requirements.

Why Join?

  • Founding member of the electrical engineering team.

  • Own hardware from concept through flight.

  • Work alongside experienced aerospace engineers building cutting-edge launch technology.

  • Fast-moving engineering environment with genuine technical ownership.

  • Competitive salary, equity and long-term career growth.
