Systems Engineer Level 4+

Systems Engineer III | Missile Defense | 12-Month Contract

Want to work on technology that protects national security from ground to space? We're hiring a Systems Engineer III to join a defense and space technology team delivering mission-critical solutions on MDA-aligned missile defense programs.

This isn't a back-office systems role — you'll be hands-on across requirements, verification, risk, and MBSE, working shoulder-to-shoulder with propulsion, software, hardware, GNC, quality, and safety teams, and sitting in the room for SRR, PDR, CDR and TRR reviews.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning system, subsystem and interface requirements end-to-end
  • Building and running verification plans, procedures and compliance matrices
  • Driving risk assessments and mitigation planning
  • Building MBSE artifacts in SysML / Cameo-MagicDraw
  • Working directly with customer and supplier stakeholders

What you'll bring:

  • 7-10  years' systems engineering experience in DoD, aerospace or missile defense
  • Strong requirements, verification and risk management background
  • Hands-on SysML / Cameo Systems Modeler experience
  • Familiarity with MDA processes and CDRL development
  • Bachelor's in Systems/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related STEM (Master's a plus — can offset a year of experience)

  • Approximately 10% travel
