Senior Avionics Systems Test Engineer

Overview

We're partnering with an innovative aerospace company developing next-generation launch vehicle technology and looking for a Senior Avionics Systems Test Engineer to support integrated system testing, vehicle operations and launch readiness activities.

This is a highly visible role focused on system-level integration, troubleshooting and validation of complex electrical and software systems throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system-level avionics integration, testing and validation activities
  • Support qualification, verification and operational readiness testing
  • Investigate and resolve complex hardware/software integration issues
  • Develop test strategies, procedures and operational concepts
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop and integrated test environments
  • Participate in mission-critical test campaigns and operational activities
  • Collaborate closely with avionics, software, systems and manufacturing teams
  • Develop automation and data analysis tools to improve test efficiency

Requirements

  • Background in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar
  • Experience with integrated systems testing, flight test, vehicle testing or hardware-in-the-loop environments
  • Strong troubleshooting experience across electrical and software systems
  • Experience with verification and validation processes
  • Familiarity with networking and communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, UART or SPI
  • Python or MATLAB experience
