Lead Systems Engineer
A fast-growing space technology company focused on orbital safety and space domain awareness is seeking a Lead Spacecraft Systems Engineer to drive the development of next-generation small satellites.
This is a hands-on leadership role with full ownership of spacecraft programs, from design through launch and on-orbit operations. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, define system architecture, and ensure mission success across rapid development cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end spacecraft delivery and on-orbit performance
- Lead system architecture, integration, and technical budgets
- Manage design, build, test, and launch activities
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team
- Drive rapid prototyping and iterative development approaches
- Conduct system trade studies and manage risk
Requirements:
- 10+ years in aerospace or satellite systems
- Proven experience delivering small satellites to orbit
- Strong background in spacecraft systems engineering and integration
- Experience with environmental testing and launch operations
- Leadership experience in fast-paced engineering environments
- US citizenship, eligible for security clearance
