Job Title: Mechanical Engineer III – Test
Location: Reno, Nevada (hybrid)

Overview:
We’re working with a leading defense and space technology company developing cutting-edge systems that support national security and next-generation space missions. They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer III with strong testing experience to join their growing engineering team.
This is a hands-on role focused on component and subsystem testing, data analysis, and system validation within a highly complex engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute component and subsystem testing activities
- Develop detailed test plans, including risk assessments and resource planning
- Set up, calibrate, and operate measurement instrumentation
- Perform data acquisition, cleaning, and statistical analysis
- Support design activities including stress analysis, pressure systems, and propulsion components
- Conduct CFD, thermal, and structural analysis to validate designs
- Interpret test results and provide recommendations for design improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and support system-level integration
- Produce technical reports, documentation, and presentations
Required Experience:
- 4 to 7 years of mechanical or aerospace engineering experience
- Strong background in testing, validation, and data analysis
- Experience with instrumentation, calibration, and test setup
- Knowledge of CAD, GD&T, and engineering analysis tools
- Experience with CFD, structural, or thermal analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar
Nice to Have:
- Rocket motor or propulsion system experience
- Experience in defense or space environments
- Active or previous security clearance
Additional Information:
- Approximately 10% travel required
- Must be eligible to obtain US Security Clearance
