Are you passionate about shaping the future of human space exploration? We’re hiring a Systems Engineer – Crew Training to support the next generation of lunar missions in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. In this role, you will help prepare astronauts and flight controllers for safe and effective operations through training development, simulations, and full-scale mission readiness activities. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to design training programs that optimize human performance and ensure mission success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify astronaut and flight controller training needs based on mission requirements

  • Design and develop mission-specific training programs, lesson plans, and instructional materials

  • Deliver training using a variety of methods, including simulators, mockups, vehicles, VR, and neutral buoyancy environments

  • Certify trainers and validate training content for quality, consistency, and technical accuracy

  • Manage training logistics including schedules, certification plans, and training records

  • Collaborate with NASA teams and external partners to support mission readiness and operational execution

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, engineering, aerospace, human factors, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, training development, or technical training delivery

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional methodologies

  • Experience delivering training using multiple formats (classroom, simulation, VR, hands-on, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong team-first mindset

  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment

  • U.S. Person

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in human factors or a related discipline

  • Knowledge of spacecraft systems and operations

  • Familiarity with NASA training certification processes and standards
