Staff Mechanical Analyst – Space Systems
Location: Golden, CO

Join a fast-growing space robotics company developing next-generation mobility and exploration systems. As a Staff Mechanical Analyst, you’ll lead the mechanical analysis function, guiding a team through design, validation, and optimization of advanced spaceflight hardware.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of mechanical analysts across multiple vehicle and mobility projects

  • Develop and execute mechanical analyses — loads, stress, dynamics, vibration, fatigue, and fracture

  • Build and refine analytical and finite element models to support rapid design iteration

  • Collaborate closely with design, test, and project teams to meet program milestones

  • Ensure compliance with NASA and aerospace standards

  • Produce high-quality technical documentation and reports for reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, FRB)

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical analysis for spaceflight systems

  • Proven experience leading analysis teams in fast-paced environments

  • Strong background in Finite Element Modeling and interpreting complex load data

  • Familiarity with dynamic, kinematic, fatigue, and fracture analysis methods

  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

  • Must be a U.S. Person

Tools & Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with ANSYS, FEMAP, NASGRO, Matlab, LS-DYNA, and SolidWorks

  • Exposure to automotive or composite structure analysis
