AI&T Project Engineer

Are you driven by the idea of pushing humanity further into space?
Join a fast-moving team building the next generation of planetary vehicles and space robotics. We’re developing advanced systems designed to support long-term human and robotic operations beyond Earth—while also delivering real impact here on the ground.

We’re looking for an AI&T Project Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, multidisciplinary environment. In this role, you’ll work closely with engineering, program management, and prototype development teams to coordinate system testing, support early-stage hardware development, and help bring complex space systems from concept to reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development and execution of spacecraft test campaigns, including schedule, budget, risk management, and coordination across engineering teams and test facilities

  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules in MS Project; drive daily tasking for cross-functional engineering teams

  • Develop test methods, test plans, and GSE concepts for verification, validation, and rapid prototyping

  • Own assembly and test processes for components, subsystems, and full vehicle integration

  • Oversee planning and execution of environmental testing (vibration, static load, TVAC, acoustics, EMI/EMC)

  • Support analysis of test data, generate test reports, and implement continuous improvements to test processes

  • Lead Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and post-test data reviews

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Software, or a related engineering discipline

  • 2+ years of experience in AI&T, systems engineering, or technical project/program management

  • Experience planning and managing full environmental test campaigns (vibe, static load, TVAC, acoustics, EMI/EMC)

  • Familiarity with NASA design, construction, and test standards

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering efforts on tight timelines

  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to drive cross-functional progress internally and externally

  • Proficient in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executing test programs using tools such as MS Project and Jira

  • Must be a U.S. Person

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with rapid prototyping and fast proof-of-concept development

  • Background developing special test equipment or custom test setups

  • Experience writing and executing demonstration and test procedures

  • Exposure to the full lifecycle of NASA human-rated spaceflight projects

  • Experience in startup or commercial aerospace environments

  • Strong systems engineering foundation, including requirements verification and test methodology
