Principal Mechanical Engineer – Space Robotics
Golden, CO | Onsite

A leading player in space robotics and planetary mobility is searching for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to help drive the next generation of lunar surface vehicles, including systems designed to support upcoming astronaut missions.

In this role, you’ll set technical direction across multiple programs, guide mechanical engineering strategy, and mentor a growing engineering team in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:
• Lead mechanical engineering efforts from concept through delivery
• Influence technical decisions at the organizational level
• Drive design standards, best practices, and continuous improvement
• Oversee rapid prototyping and manufacturing workflows
• Present in customer-facing and executive-level reviews

What we’re looking for:
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Proven technical leadership across teams or programs
• Strong communication & review experience (SRR/PDR/CDR)
• U.S. Citizenship

Bonus points for experience with NASA programs, aerospace startups, or strategic technical planning.
